My Human
I get worries about [info]rickybuchanan, my human. She had the water stuff coming out of her eyes a lot today, and she was making the soft sad noises and it makes me feel all helpless and want to run around and FIX it so she won't make the sad noises and the water wont come out any more!

What makes humans make the sad noises?

Why does the water come out? Should I try to put it back in, or is it OK to lick it up like I do. I think she likes it when I lick her cheek and it tastes nice.

A new person visited today! The new person played with me very nice so I bounced around and climbed up her jumper. I like the new person. I hope she comes back soon. I think she might be Ricky's human, because I call Ricky "Mummy" and Ricky called the new person "Mummy". Do humans have their own humans too?

These things are very confusing for a small cat.

Oh, that reminds me, its my birthday today. I turned 3 months old! And nobody gave me a tuna-flavoured cake! I dunno, life's tough sometimes ...

Love and kitty kisses,

hihi thomascat
i will try and answer some of your questions
for humans it is natural for water to come out of tehre eyes sometimes, and we can't really put it back in, we get sad and then we cry, and thats what it is when water is coming out, i very much liek it when one of my kitties will cuddle up with me when i am crying, or just watching them being silly is nice also, if ricky lieks you to lick her tears off then i think thats a good thing to do, my kitties don't really do that but thats ok to
humans do sometimes have other humans, i don't call my human mum i call my human rob, and another human i have i call dad, there is a lady who is my mum but i don't think of her as my human, and i don't really know her all that well, when i was a human kitten she generaly was never around so i don'ts ee hwo she could be my human, i guess what i am saying is humans can have humans,a nd they call there humans by differnet names, i very much like my humans, and i like having humans
happy birthday, maybe you will get a cake when you turn 1 year old, i never seem to get a cake unless it has been a year since my last birthday, but it can be an awful long time to wait
happy kittyness to you

Oh, you are very good at explaining about humans to me! Are you a cat too?

If you are, you must have studied humans a lot. And if you are a human you must have studied cats a lot! I think you are clever.

A whole year seems to be a long time to wait for a cake. I think this cake business is very unfair. I think I should get one at least every month!w

Love,

i am mostly human i suppose, but i have spent a lot of time thinking was a cat, and some cats seem to think i am a cat, especialy coset who you might like a lot, she is very good and running around and jumping and licking, and she liks to sleep on my belly, i think i am her human, and she is my kitty, in my life the longest i can remember ever not living in a house with cats is three months, and i guess there was a year or two back when i was very young when there wasn't a cat around, but i almost always lived with cats, my first memory even is the sound of a cat purring, so cats sorta raised me, and i have raised some cats, i love cats very very much and i often find myself wishing i was a kitten
happy birthday thomas

I think you are a very sensible human to have cats around you so much! My poor human, [info]rickybuchanan, has only ever been a human to one other cat! ANd that was when she was so little she doesn't remember! Poor Ricky!

I feel sorry for her so I try to make sure she enjoys being my human so it can make up for all the years she didn't belong to anay cat at all.

And thankyou for the birthday wishes.

Love,

thomas,
you do well to lick her and bounce around. When we humans are sad, your Cat Love helps a lot. But some things are just too heavy to bear sometimes, and that's why we humans cry. I am very happy Ricky has you, and please give her an extra lick on her cheek from me!
Hugs, head bumps and caresses
Dagmar

if something hurts a lot - like the other day, when you got bumped - or if you feel sad, you meow a lot, right? i belong to a cat myself, so i know what a hurt meow and a sad meow sound like. people don't usually meow, so when they're hurt or sad they cry, which means making sad noises and having water come out of their eyes. when Ricky is sad or hurt, it helps her feel better to know that you love her. so lick the water off her cheek if you like to do that - it's a lot like something humans do with each other that's called a "kiss on the cheek", and that is one way people show their love for each other. snuggling up to her and purring also let her know that you love her. bouncing and being cute and silly and generally doing perfectly normal kitten stuff like that are good, too, because they make Ricky smile and laugh, and smiling and laughing are the opposite of crying and being sad. Ricky loves you a lot, you know.

a lot of us humans love Ricky too, but not all of us can come visit her and hug her and kiss her and snuggle with her to help her feel happier. for example, i live on the other side of the world - a very long way away. so, Thomas, you have an important job to do: your job is to love Ricky a lot, and give her lots of snuggles and purrs and kitty-kisses, and be adorable and make her smile, in place of the people-snuggles and hugs and things we'd do with her (and with you!) if we could. your job is to make sure she knows how very, very much she is loved!

we love you, too, Thomas. happy birthday, and lots of head-skritches and tuna-treats and soft warm snuggles to you!

You're a good kitty, if Rickys Mummy turned up Ricky would probably be crying, i'm glad you were there for her.

my cats Nikki and Karma say "happy birthday, little kitten!" they think you're very young, because they are 16 and 6. they get tuna on their birthday but Nikki gets tuna twice a month because it makes her coat shinier. they get catnip every other day, and also i give them yarn to play with. they won't play with stuff i buy from the pet store! Karma says she remembers being 3 months old, she says to have fun and enjoy lots of snuggles and hugs! because when you get older you might not be as snuggly. Nikki says "i want to go back to sleep now." *lol*
